#NaNoWriMo The Home Stretch!

November is probably the hardest month to do a NaNoWriMo, at least for me. I’ve got the 20BooksTo50K conference, this weekend had Wizard World, and then Thanksgiving. This year it’s even more challenging as I’m in the process of moving.

But we’re reaching the last 5 days.

I’m 10K away, which means I’m going to have to clock 2,000 words every day from here on out to make it. Hopefully I can do so, but I’m very close.

This year is interesting, as I’m finally writing a follow up to my first novel, The Stars Entwined, which I wrote and rewrote so many times to get the book you’ve got in your hands. The original book started when I was 18 years old, scribbling in the back of class in high school. I didn’t have much of an idea of where it would go or how it would end, just a general premise.

It’s changed a lot over the years, and this sequel really pushes the series to a whole new level. What’s interesting on this one is I’ve largely abandoned my outline I wrote for the book. Patreon subscribers will see the original outline eventually when I get to it, but I’ve developed a much more gripping story over the course of this month…

…the only problem is now I don’t know how it ends!

It’s unusual for me. This is uncharted territory for writing, but I know every twist and turn that happens in the book is some of my best work.

I am excited to eventually bring this to you. The book’s not going to be close to ending at 50,000 words of NaNoWriMo, but I should wrap it up in December at least.

Cheers!
